It seems the relaxed knit is EVERYWHERE this winter in Australia. A cool cropped knit was just missing from my wardrobe. The inspiration for this pattern comes from the laid back lifestyle here in Australia. We wanted to make the knit relaxed, with a great drop shoulder but also floaty and voluminous – with the sleeve detail. Something that you can wear over a slip dress or team back with high waist pants and skirts. I am a big fan of the cropped version for these reasons, but we have also made a version which is full length rather than cropped at the waist if you do prefer that style. All in all, I have been living in this since the temperature dropped here in Aus.

     Any design features, fit?
From a design & fit perspective, the shapes are quite clean as we wanted the fabric of our customers choice to really speaks for itself. We have tried to limit seams to avoid chunky, unflattering fit. Both versions have drop shoulder for a relaxed fit. The pattern has full, voluminous sleeves that are accentuated if you chose a chunky knit fabric. In contrast if you liked a more sleek look a fine knit falls beautifully.

How should you care for these special knits?
As knits need a little extra care to last you many seasons, below are some simple steps to improve the longevity of your knitted garment.
In our opinion for the best results and prolonged life of your knitwear – hand washing is always best. But we know sometimes life gets in the way! So there is always…

    Dry Cleaning

Dry Cleaning can be great to remove tough stains on knitwear however we try not to send our delicate knitwear to our dry cleaner as the chemicals used in dry cleaning can be harmful to knitwear fibres.

    Machine Washing Knitwear

Knitwear can be cleaned using machine washing. . Some washing machines have a special setting for Woolens or Knits however always take care with your water temperature and spin cycle to ensure your knitted garments are not damaged by your machine. Knitwear should always be washed using ‘Woolen’ or mild detergent.
