Gina Rashie pattern is inspired by the Sports / Swimwear movement.
The Gina pattern design includes extra panels which can be used to great effect. Colour blocking or a mix & match of prints.
This simple but dynamic design includes Cap sleeves & an Exposed Chunky zipper.
The cap sleeves are finished with a binding method.
Leg edges are finished using the basic turn over swimwear hems
Sewing instructions include Metric & Imperial measurements.

Sewing level: Intermediate
Sew on Light weight interfacing. The interfacing is used to assist sewing in the zipper. (do not use iron on interfacing)
You will need to purchase an Open Ended Chunky zipper for this pattern.
Open ended Chunky zippers are available in a wide range of sizes. The zipper is sewn on the front of the suit & the excess fabric behind the zipper is trimmed away.
Even though we won’t be using the zippers function of coming apart at the lower edge. The bottom tab of open ended chunky zippers, are very neat. This is an important factor as the zipper is placed on top of the front section. You can see all the edges of the zipper in the exposed method used in this pattern. Open ended zippers are also lower-priced & available in a wider range of colours & lengths then closed chunky zippers.
(If you use a closed Chunky zipper you will need to tuck the lower tabs under) It is far simpler to use the Open Ended Chunky zipper for this pattern. You can also use an alternate length Open ended chunky zipper. You will find the information on the fabric layout page.
