How to stitch Binding to swimwear edges. To stitch your binding strip to outer edges of swimwear always use a stretch stitch. A medium zig zag is fine .Our binding width is 4cm or 1 1/2 inches. The length of the binding strip should be slightly shorter than the length of the outer edge, so it will be stretched slightly . To Stitch binding to outer section- stitch in  1cm or 3/8 of inch from the raw edges. When you wrap the binding over to the wrong side ,the binding width on the right side will 1cm or 3/8 of inch) . As you stitch the binding in position ,stitch from the top side, slightly stretch as you sew ,be firm and keep the binding wrapped around the edges with no looseness of fabric as you sew. This takes some practice, keep trying until you succeed. You can use a alternate seam allowance & this will give you a different width of the finished binding showing on the outer edges.  Please note if you change the seam allowance ,you need to cut the binding to a different width to match the seam allowance.
