Sewing level Beginner for pre-purchase binding version. Intermediate for making your own binding version.

This style features a high neckline, a boxy shape, tie back feature and is made to be reversible from front to back! All outer edges are finished with single fold bias binding. You can choose to purchase binding from your local store OR make your own with the instructions we have included in the tutorial.
For our beginner sewers out there, we recommend you pre-purchase the binding rather than making your own, this option makes this pattern perfect for beginner sewers. For the more intermediate/advanced sewers, we have included a tutorial on how to how to make your own single fold binding. This will result in a beautiful finish and is very satisfying to use all your scraps of fabric and have less waste!

To create a boxy look: Opt for Linen, Cotton, or structured woven fabrics. For a more relaxed and floaty look, opt for chambray, viscose or crepe. Fabric choice is key to achieving the look you want. Email me at support@swimstyle.com if you would like to chat further on this.

It was a Digital item so I got my PDFs quickly after purchasing. I modified the pattern to be a reversible top and it worked beautifully! The pattern was easy to follow and put together. It took me a total of 3 hours to cut the pattern, piece together, cut the fabric, and sew everything. I’ve gotten so many compliments on the top and can’t wait to make more ♥️️

Such a cute and easy pattern to sew! Made it in heavyweight linen and it feels so luxe. Instructions were fairly straightforward and beginner friendly if you know enough sewing terms (google and you tube will help you through the ones you don’t!) love the versatility and way it can be made reversible with a few small changes!

I used a knit for this instead of woven. The size is great but I don’t think I like the fit on me as much as I thought I would. But overall really great Pattern and does make a cute top! I opted not to bind because my athletic doesn’t fray

Design Lead - Fashion Forward
Our philosophy is to design patterns that resonate with people's lives; clothes that are functional and beautiful, that are ageless and simple. Our goal is to always be inventing and bring our customers designs they may not have seen in patterns before.

Sustainability
After working in fashion, Justine quickly realised the waste and overconsumption the ready to wear industry creates. We want to encourage as many people as possible to sew their own and walk away from fast fashion.
